Establishment of Bhawani Dayal Arya College, Nakasi in 1972 is an act of perpetuation of the memory of the great freedom fighter for Indians in South Africa - Swami Bhawani Dayal Sanyasi. In 1942, the Sabha had already built a primary school in the memory of the benevolent Sanyasi within the same land.

The first Principal of the College was Mr. J. R. Singh. Bhawani Dayal Arya College is a large mainstream multiracial peri-urban secondary school catering for Forms 3 to 7 and vocational programme.
